Hi All and happy Monday,
It was a dreary day here, and more rain is forecasted. 100% chance tonight, so I guess it's going to rain (not that the weather forecasters are ever wrong!)
I decided to participate in yesterday's 365 days challenge to make gift card holders. I made two because Administrative professionals' day is next week, and our group is getting gift cards for two of the most helpful people.
I scored a 4 1/2 x 11 inch piece of paper along the long side at 3.5, 7, and 10 inches. I did go back and shave a little off the end to help in the folding. In the second card, I had a 12 inch piece of paper which allowed me to do the flap on the inside to hold the gift card. I know these directions are cryptic, if you have questions, please ask.
The first one is really really pink, but Amber LOVES pink (and she's not a 10 year old girl!) I hope she likes it!
Is it too much like cotton candy ;) ?
I used the notch
And I had to include a close up of the flap on this.
The second card isn't as flashy, but I think Julia will like it :)
In this shot, you can see the inside pouch for the gift card. A little different than the above, but both are functional.
I'd love to participate in the challenge at 365 today. It's to make a money holder, but I do not think I'll have time. House is on tonight, and it is really the only show I watch.
I'd also like to try a stitched card for the Moxie Stich in time challenge. We'll see if I can get it all in and get to bed at a decent time :)
Thanks for stopping by.
